Task 2 says at least 250 words. Would a 340-word essay lose marks for the word count alone, even if everything is relevant?

If an example takes four sentences, how can you tell what to cut?

Keep the detail that shows why your point is true. If a sentence only adds background, try removing it and check whether the example still supports your point.
