Writing

The Hero Teacher

Some people think that university education should be free for everyone. To what extent do you agree or disagree? You should write only the introduction ( 2 sentences max). I'll provide feedback in the comments.

There is a debate about whether university education should be provided free of charge to all students. I partly agree with this view because free education can provide equal opportunities, although it may place a significant financial burden on governments.

Would the second paragraph explain how government could pay, or why some students should still pay fees? That changes what 'partly agree' means here.

If Sid means free only for students who can't afford it, 'partly agree' fits. If it's free for everyone, cost might be a problem to solve rather than a reason to disagree.

Could the intro say 'I support free tuition for students who cannot afford it, rather than for everyone'? Would that make 'partly agree' clearer?

Trying that position: 'Some argue that university should be free for all students. I agree only for those who cannot afford the fees, because access matters more than offering a free place to everyone.' Is 'only for' too absolute here, or does it make the limit clear?

'Only for' makes the limit clear. 'Mainly for' would change the meaning by allowing other students too. I'd keep whichever matches the position you actually want.

It is believed by some individuals that university education should be free of charge for everyone. I completely agree with this approach, because I think everyone should have equal rights to get access to higher education and eventually it will result in advantage of government itself.

Zarifa, what do you mean by 'advantage of government itself'? If it's more skilled workers, maybe 'could also benefit the country by helping more people gain professional skills'.
