If the feedback only says 'develop your ideas', what would you ask it to explain? That feels too wide to use.

If a diagram only says 'heated', should we avoid adding a temperature or saying why it is heated?

So if several categories stay almost unchanged, could I describe them together instead of writing a sentence for each?

fatimah_s commented · 09 October 2026

If every category rises but the smallest becomes the largest, would both points matter?

For example, 'Schools should teach students how to compare loan costs.' Is that clearer than only saying they should improve the curriculum?

What if those three rising lines increase by very different amounts? Would putting them together hide that?

If the tutor rewrites a paragraph, what should we ask about the changes? I don't want to just copy the better sentence.

Suppose two age groups rise at similar rates. Could one paragraph compare them, with another paragraph for a group that falls?

For a made-up chart with shares of 8%, 10%, 12% and 70%, could the 70% go in a separate sentence?

Suppose an empty site becomes a park with paths and a pond. Is that main change enough for the overview, without listing each addition?

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

Could I just say 'The share rose from 20% to 30%' and leave out the calculation?

Do words after education always mean it needs 'the'? For example, 'Education in rural areas needs more funding.'

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

If most lines rise but one stays almost the same, would that flat line belong in the overview too?

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

For example, if one group has 60 people and another has 30, could I say the first is twice as large?

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

Would 'sales fell while prices rose' avoid that problem?

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

If an example takes four sentences, how can you tell what to cut?

fatimah_s commented · 08 October 2026

Could you share the visual you're working on? An overview of a process needs different points from an overview of a graph, so it would help to see which one you mean.

When should you leave out 'the' in IELTS Writing?

For example, 'Education should be free.' Why is there no 'the' before education? Is it because we mean education in general?

Could you post a visual and try one sentence about what stands out? We can start there and work out which details belong in the report.

Does IELTS on computer have spellcheck or autocorrect? Should I turn those off when practising in Google Docs?
