CELPIP AI Practice: Use Feedback to Improve Your Next Answer
AI feedback is useful when it changes your next attempt. Start with an original response, inspect the evidence and practise the same skill on a fresh task.

What PrepEx AI-assisted practice does
PrepEx’s CELPIP Writing and Speaking practice reviews submitted responses against public performance criteria and returns practice feedback. Reading and Listening activities check selected answers against reviewed keys. Those are different kinds of evidence.
A PrepEx level is a practice estimate, not an official CELPIP score. The official transformation and operational rating process belong to the provider. A convenient feedback loop does not establish agreement with official results.
Use an attempt–review–retry loop
- Attempt: respond under the task conditions before opening a sample.
- Review: find one concrete claim in the feedback and compare it with your actual words or recording.
- Repair: change the missing support, inaccurate phrase or unclear sequence.
- Transfer: try a new prompt that asks for the same communicative operation.
For Writing, inspect the sentence and its purpose
If feedback calls an idea vague, find the relevant paragraph. Ask what detail would help the reader act or understand the consequence. Add that detail rather than replacing every ordinary word with a longer synonym.
Keep the first draft and revised version together. Check whether the change improves the task response and paragraph flow. Grammar suggestions can be useful, but an accurate sentence that does not address the prompt still needs different work.
For Speaking, listen to the audio
A transcript can show ideas and sentence patterns, but it cannot show rhythm or intelligibility by itself. Listen to the recording when checking delivery feedback. If an observation does not match the audio, do not treat it as established evidence.
Repeat with one delivery goal, such as completing a reason without a long interruption. Then record a different task. Memorizing the improved response can make a repeat smoother without demonstrating transfer.
Choose feedback over score chasing
A single practice level can vary with the prompt and available response evidence. Look for recurring observations across attempts. Do not average small task estimates into an official component result or an immigration profile.
Read annotated examples to understand decisions, then close them before attempting. Use the Practice Hub for your own response. Availability and access depend on the activity and account; this guide does not promise unlimited free grading.
