CELPIP in 7 Days: Final-Week Practice Plan

A week is enough to organize your preparation and repair a few recurring problems. Use this final-week plan to make each session specific.

Reviewed October 2, 2026

Day 1: establish what needs attention

Review a recent timed set or complete a fresh baseline. List the task, the error and the evidence behind it. Select one priority in each skill, then pick the largest recurring problem for extra time. Keep this list short enough to act on.

Days 2–3: repair Reading and Listening

Day 2: work through correspondence, a diagram, information matching and a viewpoint task. Mark decisive evidence and explain tempting alternatives. Finish with an unseen item testing the weakest operation.

Day 3: track the issue and resolution in conversation, main facts in a news item and each speaker’s stance in discussion. Replay after answering. Separate a hearing problem from an interpretation problem before choosing another drill.

Day 4: write both task types

Write an email and a survey response under their task conditions. Check the purpose, every requested point, organization and word choice. Revise one paragraph for clearer support, then use a new prompt to see whether the change transfers.

Do not spend the whole session memorizing a model. A sample is useful when it shows how a particular decision or detail improves the answer. Keep the structure flexible enough for a different audience and purpose.

Day 5: record across the Speaking tasks

Rotate through advice, experience, scene description, prediction, persuasion, a difficult situation, opinion and an unusual situation. Listen for a clear opening, developed support, intelligible pacing and an answer that completes the requested purpose.

Pick two recordings to repeat with one concrete improvement each. Use new details rather than copying a sample sentence. A more elaborate script is not helpful if you cannot deliver it naturally within the task.

Day 6: timing and stamina

If your schedule permits, reserve an uninterrupted block for a full mock. Otherwise run a clearly labelled shorter timed session and avoid treating it as proof of full-test readiness. Review the largest remaining pattern after a break.

Use the outcome to choose tomorrow’s light review. Keep raw counts and practice estimates separate from official score predictions. One late practice result should not lead to a complete change of method.

Day 7: light review and test arrangements

Read your short error log, revisit useful response structures and do a few familiar warm-up tasks. Confirm the booking, centre instructions, accepted identification and travel plan against the provider’s current information. Protect sleep and leave space for delays.

This is a final-week routine, not a guarantee of reaching a level in seven days. If your target requires substantial language development, continue structured learning beyond this calendar.
