PrepExIELTS Writing word count: is 300 a maximum?
Task 2 says at least 250 words. Would a 340-word essay lose marks for the word count alone, even if everything is relevant?

How do you actually use sample essays?
Do you write first or read the sample essay first? I can compare vocabulary, but what if the sample uses totally different ideas? What would you change in your paragraph without copying it?
