In a Listening answer, is "color" accepted if the answer key says "colour"? Or do the letters have to match the key exactly?

Are synonyms okay too? Like 'centre' instead of 'middle' if both make sense in the gap?

A spelling variant isn't the same as a synonym. For a Listening gap-fill, use the word from the recording that fits the gap and the word limit.
