PrepExIELTS education vocabulary: are curriculum and syllabus the same?
If an essay is about what schools should teach, can 'curriculum' and 'syllabus' replace each other? An example where one fits better would help.

Is IELTS British or American English?
In a Listening answer, is "color" accepted if the answer key says "colour"? Or do the letters have to match the key exactly?

IELTS Speaking: can word stress change how clear a word sounds?
With a word like record, the noun and verb have different stress. Is stressing the wrong part enough to make a familiar word harder to follow?

Forgot the word in Speaking... describe it?
If you forget 'thermometer', can you just say 'the thing used to check temperature' and carry on? How much description is enough? Thinking of practising with objects without saying their names.
