Choose structures that express the relationship clearly. For an imaginary chart: 'Car use rose, whereas bus use fell.' The contrast gives the longer sentence a purpose; complexity alone won't fix an inaccurate description.

For the Task 1 report linked here, develop a point by adding a relevant comparison or supporting detail from the visual. You don't need background research or personal opinions.

Keep the detail that shows why your point is true. If a sentence only adds background, try removing it and check whether the example still supports your point.

For the opening, say what the visual shows, including any time period or units given. Task 1 doesn't need a separate conclusion if you've already given an overview.

WritingHow to eloborate the processes or other photo based inputs? Becasue they generally do not include so much information and I need to be objective and eloborative at the same time. Last time I could not even fill min word count in processes task.

Could you share the diagram and your shorter answer? Then we can check for missed stages or connections. Without them, it's hard to tell what useful detail is missing.

IELTS Writing word count: is 300 a maximum?

Task 2 says at least 250 words. Would a 340-word essay lose marks for the word count alone, even if everything is relevant?

Academic Task 1 reports and Task 2 essays use an academic or semi-formal/neutral style. For General Training, Task 1 tone depends on the recipient and purpose; Task 2 uses a semi-formal/neutral style.

Yes, a possible situation works for 'to what extent' too. You can explain why it supports your position on the extent, not just the main point.

For a statement naming 8am, 'in the morning' alone doesn't give an exact time. A question such as 'When does the lesson start?' uses short-answer instructions, not True/False/Not Given labels.

ONE WORD ONLY just tells you the number of words. The answer could be singular or plural. The passage or audio decides that, so check the grammar around the gap too.

That connects it. Could keep the student's location in the earlier sentence too, so the costs make sense straight away.

For Part 2 practice, maybe keep a timer running and move to another relevant detail once the object is clear. No need to keep describing the same thing.

There's a learner paragraph and peer rewrite here. The original lists location, transport and cost; the rewrite connects distance with travel and living costs. Does it still need to say how those costs lead to choosing online study?

Maybe: 'A student who cannot afford several textbooks could borrow them and still complete the reading for their course.' That shows what the books let them do. 'Libraries are important for education' just repeats it.

Yes, with just those sentences: passage '8 am' → statement 'in the morning' is True. Reverse them and it's Not Given. False needs a contradiction, not just missing detail. That's in the IELTS Reading guide.

Could underline where each part of the question gets answered. If it asks for advantages and disadvantages but nearly everything is advantages, thats one thing we can spot without guessing a band.
