Passage first or questions first? I'm worried about picking a matching word and missing the meaning. @The Hero Teacher, could you show the first couple of minutes? Would you do it differently for headings and True/False/Not Given?

All the questions first, or one group at a time? Seems a lot to remember if there are several types.

For headings I'd want the whole paragraph; for one detail, the relevant bit and the sentences around it. @The Hero Teacher, could you show both on the same passage? 'Skim and scan' is still a bit vague to me.

For a first practice passage, should I try this without a timer so I can understand how to find the answers, then work on speed later?

Starting without a timer to understand the process makes sense. While looking for the relevant section, one way is to look for the meaning behind the key words, not the exact words. The passage often expresses the same idea with different vocabulary or grammar.
