Writing is not that hard when you have a decent level of English. It is enough to follow a pattern that you see in high-scoring samples.

Adding feelings to your cue card always helps you get a better score. Also, it helps you with your fluency. I've always recommended my students to show as much how they feel as possible. Don't depend on the notes only, practice expanding your answers beyond your notes. This will help.

It's important to read as much as you can before going for full practice questions. Coming to the second question, It actually changes from person to person. I would practice passage by passage, completing one with its question type before going to the next one.

Choose a few words and try them in short practice sentences where their meaning fits. Then answer a question without trying to include every word. Repeating them in nearly every sentence can make the answer unnatural; accurate, appropriate use matters more.
