If a comparison tool shows the IELTS band a course asks for, does that count? Or does the course need to list PTE separately?

So even the Reading comparison wouldn't tell someone exactly what they'd get in an IELTS Reading test?

Right. It's an approximate relationship between tests, not a promise about one person's next result. IELTS Reading practice would still be needed to check the task types and timing.
