I'd bring the question and your untouched answer, with a note saying whether it was timed. Then ask which one problem to work on first.

Would you leave an unfinished answer unfinished? Fixing it first sounds polite, but then they won't see where the time went.

Keep that version. You can bring a separate revision too, clearly labelled. The tutor can then see what you could do during the time and what you changed afterwards.

If the tutor rewrites a paragraph, what should we ask about the changes? I don't want to just copy the better sentence.

Ask them to explain one change before showing the rewrite. For example, was a reason missing, or was the original sentence hard to understand? Then try the change yourself.
