I've heard that these are the toughest sections but unsure where to start. I'm learning solo and no idea.

Well, that heavily depends on strong and weak skills. If your'e a good writer but a little weaker speaker, then definitely go with speaking since it'll take longer to perfect your skills or vice versa.

But studying alone, how do you tell which is weaker? Writing and Speaking dont have answer keys like Reading does

We can spot repetition or parts of the question we missed, but giving ourselves a band is harder. @The Hero Teacher, what can we reliably check on our own?

Could underline where each part of the question gets answered. If it asks for advantages and disadvantages but nearly everything is advantages, thats one thing we can spot without guessing a band.

Do you check the examples that way too? like whether they support the point or are just sitting there

Could cover the example and see whats missing. If it's who gets affected or what changes, that's what the example needs to show.

Would you check the examples the same way, or does that need a different test?

One thing that works is covering the question and asking if the answer still makes sense. If it only answers half, you can spot what to add without guessing a band.

Check the examples against the question too. A cost example about uniforms might be clear but say nothing about bullying.
