Then check your reason against the task question. Does it answer that, or only explain the article?

What if writing the previous answer is what makes you miss the next one? Would you practise that separately?

AlexT commented · 28 September 2026

Could have the listener wait rather than supply the word. Gives the speaker a chance to finish describing it.

AlexT commented · 28 September 2026

Could note which question the detail answers. Cost fits a matching-information question here, but not the main heading.

Copy the sentence and the surrounding evidence that makes it a requirement. Underlining 'should' alone won't show that.

Thanks @The Hero Teacher. How do you find the right bit when the passage uses different words? Could you show one example?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Thanks for the webinar :)

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Which Reading question would you like help with? Could share one you got wrong.

Hi June, are you preparing for IELTS already or working on your English first?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Have you tried a Reading passage yet, or still figuring out the format?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Joining the community is free. Do you mean learning here, or paying for the actual IELTS exam?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Which is hardest right now: understanding the passage, finding answers, or finishing in time?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

7 in Reading or overall? Is timing the main problem, or wrong answers?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Which matching questions do you mean.. choosing a heading for each paragraph, or finding which paragraph contains some information? The names are quite similar😅

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Is it unfamiliar words, or familiar ideas worded differently in the question?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Yes, 'rather than something compulsory' makes your position clear: useful, but a choice.

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Reading. Mostly how much to read before the questions. Would you stick with one question type for a bit or mix them?

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

Can you share the two headings? Maybe one covers the paragraph and the other just an example.

AlexT commented · 23 September 2026

@The Hero Teacher, did you mean passage says 8am, statement says 'in the morning'? The other way round, we still wouldn't know the time, right?

Reading: passage or questions first?

Passage first or questions first? I'm worried about picking a matching word and missing the meaning. @The Hero Teacher, could you show the first couple of minutes? Would you do it differently for headings and True/False/Not Given?
