What we will cover

See the difference, not just the score.

The session focuses on observable differences between responses, so candidates leave knowing what to change in their own practice.

  1. Why candidates stall at Band 6 or 6.5

The recurring patterns that keep otherwise capable candidates below their target.

  2. The skills that start to matter at Band 7+

How control, development, flexibility and precision show up across the scoring criteria.

  3. Live Speaking response analysis

Compare a Band 6/6.5 response with Band 7-level features and hear what an examiner notices.

  4. Live Writing response analysis

Trace how task response, organization, vocabulary and grammar affect the result.

  5. Finding and practising the right weak area

Move from generic repetition to feedback-led practice with a clearer next step.

  6. PrepEx feedback demonstration and live Q&A

See how response feedback can become an action plan, then ask Aydin your questions.

Around Band 6/6.5

  • Ideas are relevant but may stop before they are fully developed.
  • Vocabulary and grammar show range, with uneven control.
  • Practice repeats whole tests without isolating the cause of lost marks.

Moving toward Band 7+

  • Ideas are extended clearly and stay connected to the task.
  • Language choices become more flexible, precise and consistently controlled.
  • Practice targets one weakness and uses feedback to verify improvement.
