Which history words can I practise?

The word bank includes heritage, preservation and artefact. Use heritage for what a society inherits from the past, preservation for protecting it, and artefact for a human-made object. These distinctions help when discussing museums or historic places.

How should I use this pack?

Start with the Before self-check, then study the word bank and complete the gap-fill, matching and word-formation tasks. Use the reading, speaking and writing activities to practise the words in context. Finish with the After self-check and compare what you can recall.

How can I use this vocabulary in IELTS?

Choose words that fit your meaning and check their collocations. Try using a few in your own paragraph or spoken answer, then revise any awkward phrasing. Learning advanced words alone does not determine an IELTS band score.
